Bluebells

The bluebells have been especially fine this year, although I don't know why. Perhaps it's because of the good summer last year, or the wet winter this year. In any case, as beautiful as they are, I always struggle to capture them to my satisfaction.
This year, I tried just keeping a small amount in focus, to draw the eye. Otherwise I've found the scene can appear too busy and what looks fantastic in person lacks something in the photograph. These photos are from three trips, all walking from my house in Dursley, with the first on 16th April, the second on the 26th and the final on the 3rd May. I love how the woods develop over this short time.
