Severn Bore

Although we've lived nearby for some years, we'd never been to see the Severn Bore. But this weekend, we saw it twice! Following the excellent suggestions from www.thesevernbore.co.uk we went a long way downstream as the river levels were high. It's a great natural spectacle, the sound of the wave really impresses and there is the bizarre sight of the river flowing upstream. Then there is the added entertainment of the brave surfers, with their one chance to catch the wave.
These photos were taken near the Old Passage Inn, Arlingham, looking over the Severn to Newnham.
