Tortworth Snowdrops

Sunday 19 February 2017

Last weekend there was a dusting of snow on the Cotswolds. This weekend it felt much more like spring, with plenty of beautiful snowdrops near Cromhall and Tortworth. They must be near their best right now.

With the snowdrop photos I took a couple of years ago, I chose to get the camera low and used a wide aperture to only have a small amount of the image in focus. I still really like the almost painting-like effect this achieves, but additionally this time I wanted to give the impression of the snowdrops in the wood.
