Castle Coombe

Sunday 24 August 2014

Castle Coombe, on the southern edge of the Cotswolds, has the reputation of being one of the prettiest villages in England. It's not far from our house and made a very pleasant Sunday afternoon stroll.

I deliberately didn't want to lug around lots of photo gear, so these are all shot with an 85mm lens. Sometimes I enjoy this kind of limitation; I learnt photography without using a zoom lens with a manual focus Minolta camera and that's where I fell in love with the 85mm focal length.
