A long Cotswolds summertime walk

Sunday 31 July 2016

We did a really long walk from our house in Dursley, about 28km (17.5 miles) with nearly 1000m (3300 feet) of climbing. Great training for the mountains and a pleasure to be able to do this from our house - the Cotswolds a lovely part of the world! Today the weather was cloudy to start, but got better and better. By the afternoon it was really very clear with views over to the Brecon Beacons in Wales. After we'd eaten a most welcome meal in The Old Crown, Uley we enjoyed the sunset as we walked back through the woods to Dursley. A detailed description of the route is after the photos.
