Dreamy Bluebells

Sunday 7 May 2017

Bluebell woodlands are one of my favourite places to be, yet I find it hard to show why in a photograph. My images here are deliberately dreamy, sometimes a little more like an impressionist painting than a photo.

These were taken on a three occasions, from April to early May - I suspect I was away in the Scottish highlands and Edinburgh when the bluebells at their absolute best. There are many beautiful bluebells on the Cotswolds, but I'm fortunate that Twinberrow woods and Whiteway where I took these photos are just a few minutes walk from my house in Dursley.
