Tortworth Snowdrops and Lake, three weeks later

We walked around the beautiful snowdrop walk near Cromhall and the Tortworth Estate three weeks ago. Then the snowdrops hadn't reached their peak yet, not even open. Today although they were wide open, they were past their best. Nonetheless, it's a pleasant stroll in the warming weather and as a bonus we got to walk around Tortworth Lake for the first time. It's only open to the public on the first Sunday of the month, from February to October. There were plenty of other people enjoying the gentle circuit of the lake.
Over the years, I've been getting closer and closer to the snowdrops when taking photos, and lower and lower too - getting right down to their level. Today I used a wide aperture (f2.8) on my macro lens (Sigma 105mm) to have much of the image out of focus. This simplifies the image, as masses of snowdrops can appear overwhelming in a photo and I feel the hint of them, almost like a painting, is the best way I've found to picture them.
