Dursley Walking Festival
Sunday 4 October 2015
I did two of the walks for the Dursley Walking Festival. Even though I go walking regularly from our house here in Dursley, I still learned a couple of new paths and had a good chat with many people on the well attended walks.
Total Lunar Eclipse
Monday 28 September 2015
We saw a partial solar eclipse earlier this year in Dursley - and tonight we saw a total lunar eclipse. However it did involve a 3am alarm for us!
A night on Pen Y Fan

Pembrokeshire Coast and Puffins
Sunday 12 July 2015
We went with some friends back to beautiful Pembrokeshire, again camping on the Marloes peninsula. We explored a little more of the coastpath, got down to the wonderful Musselwick Sands (only possible at low tide) and took a ferry over to Skomer Island to see the puffins.

In contrast to the warm sunshine locally last weekend, the weather was looking grey and miserable.
Purton and Sharpness
Saturday 6 June 2015
A mother swan with her cygnets hitching a ride, the abandoned hulks of the Purton ship graveyard, views of the canal and Severn, then the port of Sharpness - this gentle walk has considerable variety and interest.

Tortworth Snowdrops and Lake, three weeks later
Sunday 1 March 2015
We walked around the beautiful snowdrop walk near Cromhall and the Tortworth Estate three weeks ago. Then the snowdrops hadn't reached their peak yet, not even open. Today although they were wide open, they were past their best.
